Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooot, it’s been a (long) while 😡
Lot of things were going on, so I finally thought, I might post a bit 🙂

So first thing: I resigned from my job in Amsterdam, NL.
Second: I cancelled my contract with my landlady in Haarlem, NL.
Third: I moved to Germany.
All of this happened between November (well the cancelling contract thingies on 30th of November) and February.
I am now back in Germany and after sorting out a quite big deal of things related to returning from another country, I can feel a bit more at ease than before.

There was a lot of organization going on – between packing things, looking for a job and a new place, there was also the problem of getting a new health insurance, registering at different official organizations. Well let’s start at the top 😀

I decided to resign from work really quickly after not feeling comfortable there anymore (or the country itself). It went really smoothly considered I wanted to work from home for a certain period so I could find a new place/job.
I stayed at a friend’s place for 2 weeks in my new city to do so and returned my stuff at work on my last working day.
After that things were rushed even more, as I put my desire to move on an auction platform for moving companies, and conveniently (or not) they could move just a few days after.
So my packing was really rushed, my move was rushed and I ended up at my new place in less than 5 days later *lol*

Biggest problem: no internet T____T well, I did have internet at a later point, so my raiding savage mode in FF14 wasn’t endangered *lol*
I was clever enough to have made an appointment for registering at my new place via internet before I moved so a week after the move I was already registered – and respectively de-registered from my old place.
Still, some Dutch organizations still wanted to have money for taxes (water, trash) and would only lower the bill when provided with proof I de-registered – although they should knew already due to my de-registration, but well….

I also seem to have …interesting… neighbors. Door smashing, loud music, screams and verbal fights. Compared to the last 2 years in Haarlem that’s an improvement I guess (daily refurbishment/renovation sounds all day long) – although I’m pretty much sure, I will move out as soon as I am able to.

So after consulting with a health insurance, I was registered on my official move date. Same for job agency – as I didn’t have a job and need money to survive after burning through my savings x.x
2 appointments and a lot of paperwork later I get money but that’s too less to live, too much to die, so I am of course job hunting 🙂 I had already 2 interviews in January, but they did not went so well, so I am still looking – meanwhile more relaxed than I was in Jan or Feb, as I am less stressed by now 🙂
Besides that I cancelled my other insurances in Netherlands and got the same deal for nearly the same price/month in Germany. Hoorah. So at least I am sure, IF my washing machine decides to leak or whatever happens, that will be taken care of.

My mom helped me to buy some furniture, a friend checked some things in my apartment that were not as they should be. The day my oven was delivered, the delivery guys found some problem with the electricity, which needed to be taken care of before I could use it – in that regard my rental company was fast to get an electrician in to fix it.
Another issue was discovered by me in the bedroom: window is broken. That was also confirmed by a repair guy. I’m waiting for them to get back to me so they can replace the window.
And as I am heating and getting water through gas, the boiler needed to go through its yearly check which wasn’t done last year due to the apartment not being used.
Plus some weeks after moving in my door bell sign was forcly removed by someone. I called the rental agency and a new one was placed there. 2 weeks later someone removed it yet again, although this time I saw it directly next to the bell plate on the ground so I reattached it -_- I wonder who removed it twice…
and I had some trouble with my previous land lady, but I decided to let it go for my own sake.

All of these things happened in February and March. A loooooot of things going on in such a short period and meanwhile I think it’s good I didn’t have a job yet because I would have had a need to take off so often for these things 😀
But I feel a bit more relaxed and less stressed (also not having a job stresses me out 😡 but can only apply and wait for replies from companies for now) – personally I feel a bit more being myself than before in NL.

I found some nice places to eat thanks to my friend I was staying at in January – I especially love the sushi place ❤

Regarding Pokemon: I didn’t play a lot in January/February but as I am now back, I got in contact with some people who play and I could finally get my first legendary Pokemon via Raid. I met some great people and plan to meet with them more often 🙂

So in general I can’t say yet, if the move was the best thing to do or not, but for now I’m a happier person than I was a few months ago 🙂
